Top Lawmaker Beats Civil Servant Mercilessly with a Torch Over a Disagreement




A lawmaker has brutally beaten a civil servant with a torch after a disagreement, leaving him severely wounded.

A top politician and lawmaker has been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday evening for brutally assaulting a civil servant over a disagreement.
 
According to Kenyans, Isiolo County Assembly Majority Leader, Adan Wako, was apprehended after a Mr Mohamed Halakhe reported that the county lawmaker had hit him with a torch after chaos erupted during a fund raiser last week.
 
Mr Halakhe sustained serious head injuries and was treated at Garbatulla Sub-County Hospital of Kenya.
 
Confirming the incident, Isiolo District Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO) Peter Ndubi: “We are still investigating the assault case,” said Mr Ndubi. The DCIO added that he will be arraigned in court after the investigations are done.
 
The MCA evaded spending a night at the cell by paying a cash bail of Sh100,000.
