A
devastated boyfriend persuaded his family to dig up the tomb of his
girlfriend after hearing screams from inside her grave, but what they
found raised eyebrows.
The family smashed the coffin open
The shocking moment a devastated family dug up a teenager’s grave
after her boyfriend insisted he could hear noises coming from it has
touched many people.
According to a report by Dailystar, Neysi Perez was declared dead
after she suffered a heart attack when she heard gunfire near her home
in the town of La Entrada, in western Honduras.
The 16-year-old was pregnant at the time of her death.
After the burial, her boyfriend, Rudy David Gonzales, along with
cemetery worker Jesus Villanueva, both claimed to have heard noises
coming from her tomb.
Mr Vilanueva told local TV station Primer Impacto: “I heard screams, but I wasn’t sure if they were coming from the tomb or elsewhere.”
After the tomb was smashed open, the family open the lid of the
coffin before fanning and massaging her body in a desperate attempt to
revive her.
Neysi's sister Gladys Gutierrez said: "I moved her, she spilled water with blood, she didn't have bad odour, she had normal body temperature."
Her body was rushed to hospital but doctors could not revive her and confirmed she was dead.
It was discovered that shockingly, Neysi’s knuckels were scratched
and a glass panel at the top of the coffin was broken when it was pulled
out of the tomb, leading mourners to believe she had attempted to break
 through it.
Local media has suggested that the teenager may have suffered a
cataplexy attack - a severe form of panic attack brought on by extreme
stress, which leads to muscle paralysis and a temporary loss of heart
beat.
She was buried once again in her original grave.
