Usman Shehu, son of a prominent Nigerian politician has been brutalised to death by unconfirmed gunmen in Sokoto state. Daily Post reports that the 20-year-old son of son of Alhaji Shehu Bakauye, a foremost politician of blessed memory in Sokoto, was murdered in the early hours of Saturday, as confirmed by the state police command.
The body of the young man fondly referred to as Madu has since been deposited at the Specialist Hospital in Sokoto for autopsy according to El-Mustapha Sani.
“The police will do everything humanly possible to unravel the mystery behind the murder of the orphan,” the police spokesperson noted. Alhaji Ahmad Shehu, who was the victim’s guardian before the incident, reacted to the incident, saying:
“all we want is justice and the fleeing killers of our son should be apprehended and brought to book. “We will continue to pray fervently for the repose of his soul and for the Almighty Allah to expose the perpetrators.” Recently, the police in Rivers state recovered the decapitated head of a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikwerre area of the state in another murder report from the Garden city.
Daily Post reports that the head of the middle-aged man simply named, Ebube, who was kidnapped and now confirmed killed by suspected assassins was found in a pit at Isiokpo community in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state.
